Sleep Skills Consultation

Sleep difficulties negatively impacts the academic performance of 22.5% of UF Students (NCHA, 2022).

Sleep Skills Consultations are 30-min appointments that will provide one-on-one education for those who want to learn more about their sleep habits and new techniques to improve their sleep. These appointments are with a health promotion specialist and will focus on sleep habits, including quality and quantity of sleep, and education for both how to improve and why it is important.


What happens in a Sleep Skills Consultation?

During the appointment students will:

  • Identify behaviors that hinder their sleep
  • Identify behaviors that benefit their sleep
  • Identify new strategies to improve their sleep
  • Provided education, worksheets, and resources to help with their chosen action steps for improved sleep
