UF Medical Amnesty Policy | |
|
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff, In April 2011, the University of Florida announced the official Medical Amnesty Policy (MAP) at the Community Alcohol Coalition, chaired by President Machen. The policy waives student disciplinary action under certain conditions in an effort to help ensure all students call for medical help for themselves or their friends during alcohol, drug or other health emergencies. If a student finds him/herself in a situation where he/she is unsure if medical assistance is needed, he/she is strongly encouraged to call 911 for help immediately. Students’ health and safety is our number one priority. We’d like to remind students to always look out for one another and support their fellow Gators. The complete Medical Amnesty Policy (MAP) and Frequently Asked Questions are posted here to be viewed in their entirety.
